Applications for Public Housing are taken the 1st Monday of each month excluding holidays. The business hours of operation are 8:00 am until 5:00 pm; Monday through Friday excluding holidays.
Applications must be submitted in writing. The applicant or the Housing Agency representative will complete the application form. Upon verification of all pertinent information, the Housing Department will determine your family’s eligibility.The waiting list is established by date & time of the application and an elderly family has a selection preference to be admitted into public housing before a single non-elderly applicant.
The waiting period could be an extended length of time. The Department of Public Housing does not have any emergency assistance.
