Fire Station One is located at 1610 East Main Street to meet the growing response needs of the east side of the City of Albemarle. The station has been housed in the historic former Coca-Cola bottling plant since 2004.
The largest of the three firehouses in Albemarle, Fire Station One houses one engine company, one ladder company, the Battalion Chief and the Administrative Division.
There are seven suppression personnel assigned to Station One on each shift. There is always a Battalion Chief on duty as well as an engine with three personnel.
