The City of Albemarle currently provides emergency services response from three firehouses throughout the city. Fire Station One is located on the East side of the city at 1610 East Main St. Fire Station Two is located on the West side of the city at 607 Concord Rd. Fire Station Three is located on the North side of the city at 209 Northeast Connector.

Fire Station Two is the oldest of the three firehouses located in the City of Albemarle. the station has served the west side of the city since the 1940s.
The Albemarle Fire & Rescue Department comprises three firehouses and has a staff of 41 personnel.
Fire Station Two houses one engine company which is staffed by three personnel assigned on each shift. The station has a Captain, Engineer (apparatus driver) and Firefighter assigned to the station.
