Community Meeting - Pfeiffer University & City of Albemarle
City of Albemarle
The City will be conducting a meeting on Monday August 19th at 7 PM in the City Council Chambers. This meeting will be to hear concerns, questions and ideas about the impending arrival of Pfeiffer University, employees, students and families. This project will create many exciting opportunities for our residents and business owners. We want your thoughts on what we can do to make this a city changing event.
- What can the city do to make your business a success?
- What opportunities do you see available?
- What concerns do you see coming?
- Do you have a business idea?
- Do you have property you wish to develop?
- Anything you would like to share?
The City is listening to other communities that have experienced Universities moving into their downtown. We want to capitalize on the successes and avoid the failures that other communities have experienced in very similar processes to what we will be doing. We need your questions and concerns to create a list of questions that these cities with universities are agreeable to answer for us. We will be meeting with these cities and we want to be prepared to ask all questions that you may have.
Do you have thoughts or concerns you would be willing to share with City Council and City Staff?
This meeting will be an open discussion about our future. If you are unable to attend we still want to hear from you. You may email Assistant City Manager Nyki Hardy at email@example.com or if you prefer, call her at 704-984-9408. If you are attending the meeting and do not wish to speak, we will provide an opportunity for you to submit something in writing.
Come share your thoughts and your vision for our Community.
