ALBEMARLE, NC – The City of Albemarle’s Public Housing Department will open waiting lists for both of its Public Housing communities. The Public Housing Department operates Amhurst Gardens and Elizabeth Heights.

Effective March 4, 2024, at 9 a.m., a new waitlist for both communities will be opened. Individuals who previously applied after September 29, 2023, will need to reapply.

Applications can be found online at www.albemarlenc.gov/publichousingapplication or in-person at the housing office located at 300 S. Bell Avenue, Albemarle, NC 28001.

The Public Housing waitlist will remain open until 5p.m. on April 1, 2024. All applications are due at that time.
