City Announces New Main Street Manager

Katie Lynn Selected as Albemarle’s Main Street Manager

ALBEMARLE, NC – The City of Albemarle’s City Manager, Todd Clark, announces the hiring of Katie Lynn as the City of Albemarle’s Main Street Manager. In this role, Lynn will also serve as the Director of the non-profit Albemarle Downtown Development Corporation, leading efforts to enhance and promote the City’s historic downtown district.

Katie Lynn City of Albemarle Main Street ManagerLynn has been serving as the Interim Main Street Manager since December and previously held the position of Administrative & Events Coordinator for the City’s downtown development office. She will be responsible for event planning, community engagement, and economic development efforts to support downtown Albemarle’s growth and vibrancy.

“I am thrilled to continue serving the City of Albemarle and Albemarle Downtown in this capacity,” said Lynn. “I look forward to working alongside downtown businesses, community members, and stakeholders to foster growth through events, fundraisers, beautification projects, and economic development initiatives.”

Lynn’s background includes experience with nonprofit organizations, having worked for an autism nonprofit in Columbia, MO, and Major League Baseball’s nonprofit in New York, NY. She is also an active volunteer in Albemarle, contributing her time to the Daughters of the American Revolution and the America250 NC Stanly County Committee.

Lynn will begin her duties as Main Street Manager on Monday, March 2nd.
