Pedestrian Airlifted to Hospital Following Crash

ALBEMARLE, NC – On Wednesday, 10/15/2025, at approximately 7:11am, a vehicle attempting to make a left turn from Efird St onto US 52 N. collided with a pedestrian in the crosswalk. The pedestrian was flown to the hospital for treatment of injuries and is in stable condition.

The driver of the vehicle was cited for a traffic infraction, Failure to Yield Right of Way for a Pedestrian. The crash remains under investigation.
