Albemarle Fire Department Responds to Fire at Home, No Injuries Reported
ALBEMARLE, NC – At approximately 9:34 PM on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, the Albemarle Fire Department responded to a reported residential structure fire in the 200 block of Austin Street.
Upon arrival, fire crews observed smoke and flames pushing from a window of the residence. Firefighters acted quickly to bring the fire under control. The structure sustained significant smoke and fire damage throughout.
The home was occupied at the time of the incident. Fortunately, all four occupants were able to safely evacuate, and no injuries were reported. The American Red Cross was contacted and is assisting the displaced family with temporary housing, food, and clothing.
The Albemarle Fire Department received automatic aid from off-duty Albemarle firefighters and Bethany Volunteer Fire Department. Additionally, Eastside, Endy, and New London Volunteer Fire Departments responded to the city to provide standby coverage for any additional emergency calls.
As per standard protocol, the Albemarle Fire Department Fire Marshal was called to the scene to investigate the cause of the fire. The investigation is ongoing.
