APD Investigating Shooting

ALBEMARLE, NC – On Friday, November 28, 2025, at approximately 10:41 p.m., officers from the Albemarle Police Department responded to a report of gunfire in the area of Coggins Avenue. APD located a male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound in the 400 block of Coggins Ave. Officers rendered medical aid immediately. The male was transported to the hospital for treatment.

No suspects have been identified at this time; however, investigators were able to collect evidence at the scene.

There is currently no indication of an ongoing threat to the public.
