Albemarle Fire Department Responds to Residential Structure Fire, No Injuries Reported
ALBEMARLE, NC — At approximately 5 a.m. on January 1, 2026, the Albemarle Fire Department responded to a reported a residential structure fire in the 200 block of JP Drive.
Upon arrival, responding units observed smoke and flames emanating from the first floor of the home. Fire crews made entry into the home and quickly extinguished the fire. No injuries were reported.
In accordance with protocol, the Albemarle Fire Department Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
Albemarle Fire Department Responds to Commercial Structure Fire, No Injuries Reported
ALBEMARLE, NC — At approximately 11 a.m. on January 1, 2026, the Albemarle Fire Department responded to a reported commercial structure fire in the 200 block of North Depot Street. Upon arrival, responding units observed smoke emanating from the roof of the building.
Fire crews made entry into the building while simultaneously removing portions of the roof from the exterior to access active fire conditions. They worked swiftly to contain and extinguish the fire. No injuries were reported.
Crews will monitor the scene to ensure full extinguishment. In accordance with protocol, the Albemarle Fire Department Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
