NOTICE OF ALBEMARLE CITY COUNCIL PUBLIC HEARING

The Budget Officer of the City of Albemarle has submitted the Proposed Budget for the Fiscal Year 2026-2027 beginning July 1, 2026, to the City Council and has also filed a copy with the City Clerk in the City Hall for public inspection from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and at the Stanly County Library. Copies are available for news media in Stanly County. The proposed budget is also available at www.albemarlenc.gov

A public hearing will be conducted by City Council in Council Chambers of City Hall, located at: 144 North Second Street, Albemarle, N.C. 28001, on Monday, June 1, 2026, at 6:30 p.m.

All interested parties are invited to attend the hearing. Anyone wishing to speak for or against any items in the proposed budget should plan to attend the hearing.

City Council will make any final amendments to the proposed budget after the Public Hearing and adopt the Appropriation Ordinance after the Public Hearing.
