Starting July 1, 2026,  Waste Pro will operate as the City's new service provider collecting garbage and recycling in the City of Albemarle.

 

Residents within the City limits should have received new garbage and recycling carts from Waste Pro during the month of June. If you did not receive your new carts, please call the City of Albemarle’s Solid Waste Division at 704-984-9400 (press 3).

 

Your old Waste Management carts should be left at the curb. If your old Waste Management carts go uncollected, please call the City of Albemarle’s Solid Waste Division at 704-984-9400 (press 3).

 

Small business that previously had service from Waste Management can set up service with Waste Pro by calling the City of Albemarle’s Solid Waste Division at 704-984-9400 (press 3).

 

Residents who would like more than one garbage or recycling cart may contact the City of Albemarle’s Solid Waste Division to request an additional cart. The cost per additional cart is $14 for garbage and $10 for recycling.
