The City of Albemarle Department of Public Housing will host a Community Day and Back-to-School Event on Saturday, August 1, from noon to 5:00 p.m. at Amhurst Gardens. This free event is open to residents of Amhurst Gardens and Elizabeth Heights.

Join us for an afternoon of free food and treats, music, activities, and community resources. School supplies and book bags will also be distributed to children in attendance.

Attendees should park on South Bell Avenue, just past the Public Housing Office, located at 300 South Bell Avenue.

Please join us for a special day as children, families, and neighbors come together to celebrate our community and kick off a successful school year.
