Five Arrested in Connection to Homicide Investigation
ALBEMARLE, NC – Five arrests have been made in connection to a homicide in Albemarle.
On Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at approximately 7:14 PM, officers with the Albemarle Police Department responded to a report of a shooting in the area of Heath Street and Elizabeth Avenue.
Upon arrival, officers located a female inside a vehicle on Elizabeth Avenue suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The female was taken to the hospital but did not survive her injuries. The woman was identified as Rickasia Liles age 23 of Wadesboro.
On July 21, 2026, Investigators charged five individuals in connection with this case.
Yasir Thomas Molee Davidson, age 18 of Albemarle, is charged with one count of First-Degree Murder and Attempted Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon. Davidson received no bond.
Additionally, a juvenile of Albemarle is charged with one count of First-Degree Murder and Attempted Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon and received no bond.
Three other juveniles of Albemarle are charged with one count of First-Degree Murder, Felony Conspiracy, and Attempted Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon. All received no bond.
