Albemarle Fire Department Responds to Fire at Vacant Home

ALBEMARLE, NC – At approximately 2120 hours on Sunday, August 9, 2026, the Albemarle Fire Department responded to a reported residential structure fire in the 800 block of W. Main Street. Responding units observed heavy smoke and fire coming from the rear of the structure. Fire personnel brought the fire under control and quickly extinguished it.

The house appears to be vacant. No injuries were reported. The home sustained fire damage throughout the structure.

Per protocol, the Albemarle Fire Department Fire Marshal is investigating the fire.
