Welcome to the City of Albemarle Human Resources Department.  While most City departments exist to provide services to our citizens, the Human Resources Department provides support to the City’s employees.  A full range of personnel services are available to assist in personal needs as well as citywide training programs.

The City is proud to be able to offer an excellent benefit program.  As a form of compensation in addition to salary, these benefits range from paid holidays to financial security after retirement, paid medical insurance to monetary bonuses during the Christmas season.  With few exceptions, the City either pays the cost of these benefits in their entirety or shares in the cost.  In addition, there is a whole range of voluntary programs available that can be tailored to an individual’s lifestyle.

The City is committed to providing a safe workplace.  The Human Resources Department provides administrative support along with the hands-on activities of individual supervisors and departments in the on-going challenge of preventing injuries to our employees.
