What Happens If a Violation Is Found
If a potential violation is identified, Code Enforcement will typically begin with a courtesy notice or door hanger explaining the issue and providing the property owner or occupant time to correct the condition. Most cases are resolved through voluntary compliance once the issue is brought to the resident’s attention.
If the violation is not corrected, the City may take additional steps including:
• Issuing a formal Notice of Violation
• Assessing civil penalties
• Scheduling an administrative hearing
