In Fiscal Year 27, the City of Albemarle has once again budgeted record funding for street maintenance and preservation at $1.3 Million Dollars. The focus on street infrastructure is a response to what residents identified as the number one area for improvement in the community survey. 

In 2021, Public Works Staff, commissioned an independent, third-party, civil engineering company to review the conditions of City streets and develop plans for preservation and maintenance. This independent, third party, helped determine how we can get the most benefit for the money.
