Access - the City of Albemarle, within the scope of its operations, provides computer and communication resources to authorized users only.

Security - Authorized Users accessing the Internet and the City's network, e-mail, and communications services must assist in maintaining a secure system.

Penalties for Improper Use - Users violating guidelines, including applicable federal, state, and local laws, are subject to loss of network privileges. In addition, violation of state or federal statutes could make the user subject to criminal prosecution.

Pursuant to North Carolina General Statutes, Chapter 132, communications from and to a City account may be considered a matter of public record under federal or state law and may be disclosed to third parties.
